Tower of God Season 2 Episode 16 Review

Hello and thank you for joining me for an episode review of Tower of God Season 2 Episode 16 (AKA Workshop Battle Arc episode 3). This episode felt underwhelming. I don’t have very many thoughts on this installment, so it will be a very brief review.

Notes on Episode 16: The 25th Bam

Episode Rating: 6/10

Wangnan refused to leave Prince and Miseng behind. Eventually, Khun decided to help him. However, in the end, they were unable to rescue the kids from Verdi and her giant octopus. Base on Khun’s reaction, Verdi is a super strong opponent, or at least super strong compared to Wangnan. The weird little girl takes Miseng and Prince with her as her puppets. That felt like a lot of running around for nothing if I’m being honest.

Viole’s fight with Shibisu and the bee dude was only mildly entertaining, but it was the best part of the episode I’d say. Bam tied cloth around his lower face to prevent Shibisu from recognizing him. Then he fought a serious battle against Shibisu, the bee-like person, and a huge man with red hair. The combatants managed to block “Viole” from being able to use his Shinsu wave powers. However, he could still use the power from the red demon inside him, which manifests as a single wing.

(Weird little bee dude)

During the fight, there was someone with a black helmet fighting on Bam’s side. She got badly hurt taking a blow from the bee dude’s poisoned spear. I have no memory of this person, but her name is apparently Yuto. I don’t remember anyone with FUG who was actually a genuine friend to Bam, but he seems to think of Yuto as one after she jumped in harm’s way to protect him.

Bam did everything in his power to save Yuto, and he finally succeeded. The bee dude provided the antidote to the poison and then retreated with Shibisu. It was a weird scene for me because I don’t remember Yuto from before. I guess I haven’t been paying enough attention. Also, I appreciated Shibisu in this scene. He wanted to keep fighting, filled with the desire for revenge. But after seeing Viole try so hard to save a team member, he made the wise choice and backed off. He actually is a pretty good leader.

The last scene shows us that Endorsi caught up to Traveler. When she questioned him about Viole, Traveler insisted that the man with him was not Viole. It was The 25th Bam. Endorsi hears this and is shocked to her core. The episode ends there. While it wasn’t a bad episode, this installment was a bit less interesting compared to the standard. That’s all for today!

~Thanks for reading~

  1. Yeah, I think my favorite part was at the very end when Endorsi hears that the guy she was after was named Bam. That shocked reaction said so much. I wonder if she will get in contact with Kuhn and the others from season one, in the next episode. I hope she does. It would be disappointing if she keeps it to herself. I want to see everyone from season one united again!
