What I’m Watching in Fall 2025

Hello and thanks for visiting. I decided to watch only five shows for Fall 2025. It’s an easier amount to work with compared to the eight shows I chose for Summer. Anyway, my choices are outlined below.

1: This Monster Wants to Eat Me
(Watashi wo Tabetai, Hitodenashi)

Starts: Oct 2nd, 2025

(It’s a yuri~)

I’m excited for “WataTabe” because I like queer romances, monster romances, and anime girl drama in general. Additionally, the mermaid is played by one of my favorite female seiyuus, Yui Ishikawa. (The other two main girls are also voiced by extremely talented voice actresses that I’m eager to hear.)

I am also concerned that this anime will be far too sexual for my comfort considering the characters are probably in highschool. My hope is that the character writing and story themes will be strong enough to outweigh my discomfort with the fan-service. I also hope that any fan-service is at least tasteful and/or artistic. That’s probably expecting way too much, but we’ll see.

2: Spy x Family Season 3

Starts: Oct 4th, 2025

Adorable Anya and both of her hot, bad-ass parents are finally back! I enjoyed the first two seasons of Spy x Family immensely, so I’m excited for more, especially since it’s still the same studios working on it (Wit and Cloverworks). This series is funny, wholesome, and at times, genuinely exciting and interesting. The characters are great.

3: Touring After the Apocalypse
(Shuumatsu Touring)

Starts: Oct 4th, 2025

This an original anime that looks right up my alley since I like adventure, post-apocalyptic settings, and again, queer romance. Though this show isn’t labeled with shoujo ai or yuri tags, the trailer makes it clear that the two main girls have a deep bond. It remains to be seen if it’s a romantic bond, or the love of best friends, or some of both.

The art style will take getting used to, and I don’t like that the motorcycle is always going to be 3D. But my excitement is still pretty high because this anime reminds me a lot of Girls’ Last Tour (Shuumatsu no Ryokou), an underrated anime from 2017. Shuumatsu Touring looks more upbeat than its older cousin, which had a somewhat gloomy atmosphere. I still loved it, personally – but maybe a more positive spin will also be entertaining.

4: One Punch Man Season 3

Starts: Oct 12th, 2025

It’s been a long, long time since I consumed any content related to OPM. I watched seasons 1 and 2 at some point, but can barely remember any plot or specifics. All I recall clearly is the handful of characters I liked best: Genos, Fubuki, Tatsumaki, and Saitama himself. If I remember correctly, Garou was a fairly interesting antagonist in season 2.

Seeing more of that character should prove entertaining, but I’m most excited for the return of Tatsumaki to the screen. She’s a spirited character with an insanely cute design and attractive body. Plus, she is voiced by another of my top favorite female seiyuu ever, Aoi Yuki. That’s reason enough to watch season 3.

5: With You, Our Love Will Make It Through
(Kimi to Koete Koi ni Naru)

Starts: Oct 14th, 2025

Though this show seems to be mostly marketed as a shoujo romance, it will undoubtedly appeal to a much wider audience due to the furry element. I don’t try to hide the fact that I am considered “a furry.” Some of the loud online furry culture is weird as all hell, imo, but I genuinely enjoy a lot of the furry art. I absolutely love art and stories with anthropomorphic animals, especially when they are romantically involved with each other or with humans. So hell yeah, I am excited for this anime! 😀

Other Thoughts

There were a few other shows that looked interesting to me, such as Gnosia, Ginpachi-sensei (Gintama: Mr. Ginpachi’s Zany Class), and A Mangaka’s Weirdly Wonderful Workplace. However, all of those can wait until a time when I’m not so backlogged on my reviews. I picked fewer shows for this season to make time for catching up. Eventually, I also plan to watch To Your Eternity S3 and Kakuriyo: Bed and Breakfast for Spirits S2 – but for those shows, I haven’t finished their first seasons yet.

Anyway, you can expect episode reviews for these five shows at Anime Rants starting sometime in October. Views, likes, and comments are always much appreciated. I’ll also make more of an effort to respond to comments this season. I think Fall 2025 will be a chill but fun season for anime.

  1. Yes, I’m totally going to watch the next SpyXfamily season! I’ve been action packed family cuteness deprived for months. With You, Our Love Will Make it Through looks interesting too. I’ll have to check it out. I’m still working on my fall line up, this post definitely helped.

  2. Yo, this lineup sounds solid 😎. Only five shows makes it way easier to actually keep up without burning out—smart move.

WataTabe looks spicy, but I get your concern about fan-service—let’s hope it leans on story over… y’know, uncomfortable stuff. Spy x Family S3? Big mood. Anya and the fam never disappoint, and Wit + Cloverworks = guaranteed quality.

Shuumatsu Touring has me intrigued too—Girls’ Last Tour vibes but more upbeat sounds perfect for a chill adventure. OPM S3 is just pure hype; Tatsumaki returning with Aoi Yuki voicing her? Instant win. And the furry romance anime? Honestly, same energy—embrace what you love 😄.

Cutting back to focus and catch up sounds smart. Can’t wait to see your episode reviews in October, should be a chill but fun ride!
