I’ve done the best I can to cover the main events and discuss a few points, including the fact that Shisui/Loulan is still alive.

This episode broke my heart. Even though I knew Shisui was going to die, it still made me cry.

There was a lot to unpack in this episode. To start with, multiple references were made to “tanuki.” Just in case anyone is unaware, I will explain.

In ancient Japan and to this day, small locales held summer festivals called “omatsuri.” They were often to bless the upcoming harvest and honor the local Shinto Deity.
