Blue Exorcist has become quite serious this season. Mephisto Pheles maintained a barrier that kept the Gehenna Gate closed. But what happens if Mephisto can no longer hold up the barrier?

This episode focused on a variety of characters as they visit the lively Shima family. But for me, the most interesting parts were those focused on Yukio.

Today we’re continuing the episode reviews for Blue Exorcist: Beyond the Snow Saga. The seventh episode was largely focused on Lightning, but it also featured important moments for Suguro and Mehpisto.

Blue Exorcist: Beyond the Snow Saga has been highly enjoyable for me so far. This sixth episode focuses on Lightning and Suguro before transitioning primarily to Shiemi and her character journey.

Blue Exorcist is a work that celebrates life. Its hopeful view of the world has been obvious for quite some time, but it came through more strongly than ever with the story of Shura Kirigakure.

Imagine what it would be like if your lifespan ended at thirty, and your destiny was entirely decided. Your very being is bound to your master, the one for whom you live. This is reality for Shura Kirigakure.

Due to her insane character design, many have dismissed Shura as a fan-service character. But I always hoped there would be a better exploration of Shura’s character. Blue Exorcist: Beyond the Snow Saga is finally fulfilling that wish.
