Frieren season 2 episode 9 – AKA Frieren episode 37 – is the penultimate episode of the season. It seems to be keeping a calm, steady approach.

I thought the remainder of the season would be the Divine Revolte Arc. I was surprised it’s already over., but I’m still very happy with this episode.

Revolte is fuckin’ hot. With that out of the way, let’s take a broader, more sane look at Frieren season 2 episode 7 (or episode 35 total).

The main event was Frieren’s reunion with Methode and Genau, Read my thoughts on Frieren Season 2 episode 6 (cumulatively, ep 34).

The first half of Frieren season 2 episode 5 was about a dwarf in search of the legendary Boshaft alcohol. The second half was about Frieren’s debt.

Despite finding this episode fairly entertaining, I didn’t have as much to say about it compared to previous installments. Anyway, here are my notes…

This installment was rather slow-paced and uneventful. I don’t say “boring” because I love these characters and their interactions even when there’s little to no action.

This installment was primarily focused on world-building. In the first half, we learned about the Hero of the South. In the second half, there was an encounter with a Demon.

This opening episode of Frieren’s second season was excellent. The storytelling, visuals, music, and character writing were all solid. I also loved the new opening and ending songs.
