Welcome back to Anime Rants. I’m finally covering episodes 8 and 9 of This Monster Wants To Eat Me, which I’m still keenly enjoying.

Sorry for the long wait and the lack of an interesting introduction, but here are my reviews for This Monster Wants To Eat Me episodes 6 and 7.

These episodes focused primarily on Miko Yashiro. I was impressed and now feel that Miko is my favorite character. We learn about her character and backstory in these episodes.

Hinako and Shiori went to the festival together, but it didn’t go well. with Hinako running off alone and panicking from PTSD. Can Shiori find and comfort her?

Episode 2 was great. So far, I’m most enjoying the music, the excellent voice-acting, the monster elements, and the exploration of Hinako’s psychology.

This initial installment was significantly grimmer than I expected. Shiori is a violent monster who plans to consume a human and Hinako deals with intense suicidal ideation.
