I was retroactively tagged in the “Build a Harem” shared blogger anime tag by Merlin of Merlin’s Musings. Thanks a bunch, my friend!! I really do enjoy things like this. Picking just five for my harem is going to be tough lol. I decided to choose only female characters because a slight majority of my anime crushes are female. Before I get into that, here are the the rules!

3. Pick 5 anime characters (any show and any gender) that would be in your harem
if you were in a harem anime. Explain (if you want) why you chose them.

Make sure each character you pick falls into some of the following harem character types: Childhood friend, tom boy/girl, genki girl/boy, loli/shota, trap, tsundere, yandere, kuudere, dandere, etc. (If there’s a character you’ve picked that doesn’t specifically fall into one of these types or falls into multiple types that’s fine too!)

–Members of My Harem–

#1 Esdeath

Esdeath is the main villain in the anime Akame ga Kill. I know she’s a villain and I by no means think what she does is right, but I do understand her perspective somewhat. Mostly, I just think she’s hot as fuck. When she falls in love, she is utterly adorable, with many cute blushes. She would qualify as a deredere, openly showing affection to her love interest.

#2 Yayoi Kunizuka

Yayoi Kunizuka is one of my major anime crushes and a supporting character in the anime Psycho-Pass. She is a hot, lesbian police enforcer on the same squad with Akane, Kogami, and the others. Damn, she’s cute. Yayoi would probably qualify as a dandere, since she isn’t very expressive and rarely talks. She’s usually calm and collected, even when Akane nearly walks in her, um, special time with her girlfriend Shion.

#3 Shiki Ryougi

This scary but attractive young woman is from Kara no Kyoukai. I want at least one person with good fighting skills in my harem, and Shiki is one of the best there is. Actually, she’s too good. She’d shred normal people in seconds. It’s a good thing she only goes after evil spirits, monsters, and magic users. Shiki has multiple personalities, at least one of whom identifies as a man, and that’s interesting. I’m not sure if this “correct,” and I know some people are very particular about their definitions of different “dere” girls, but I would guess Shiki is a Yandere.

#4 Aika Fuwa

Yes, I know Aika is underage, but this is just anime, and fictional characters, so I don’t think I’m being creepy. Besides, it hasn’t been explicitly stated that I’d want to be dirty with all the characters in my harem, lol. Anyway, Aika is a character in Zetsuen no Tempest who only appears in flashbacks or in the past. She doesn’t qualify as one of the types mentioned (tsundere, genki girl, etc), but that’s part of why I adore her. She’s complicated. She’s pensive, strong-willed, extremely intelligent, something of a troll, enjoys teasing others, and is proud of her body and her ability to charm people. There’s also a secret about her that I won’t spoil here.

#5 Blue (Wolf’s Rain)

Can you tell I like dark hair and blue or otherwise light-colored eyes? Blue is the only female wolf character in Wolf’s Rain. By putting her here and showing her human form, I guess I’m spoiling the anime somewhat. Sorry. 😛 The show doesn’t give them much time, but Blue shares a special relationship with one of the main characters. Based on that, I’d say she’s like a combination of kuudere and deredere, calm and composed in some situations, and very openly affectionate in others. Though part dog, she’s mostly got the blood the magical, talking wolves from the Wolf’s Rain universe. That gives her the ability to take on a human form. And man, she’s sexy!
