Welcome to Anime Rants! This is a collection of ENFP anime characters. Each entry has notes about the character with varying levels of detail. As always, MBTI type can be debated, so feel free to discuss – but please be polite.
ENFP stands for Extroverted, iNtuitive, Feeling, and Perceiving. ENFP are people-oriented, and think in terms of ideas rather than facts. They are driven by personal values, and tend to “wing it” more than organizing plans. An ENFP is energetic, friendly, fun-loving, and often emotional in general. Sometimes seeming directionless or all over the place, this type makes up for it with confidence, courage, inspirational energy, and powerful personal values. The cognitive functions for ENFP are Ne, Fi, Te, and Si. This type is sometimes called the inspirer, the champion, or the campaigner.
Chika Fujiwara (Kaguya-sama: Love is War)

After her random (but now iconic) dance scene during the credits of one episode, Chika became a wildly popular anime girl. She soon appeared in all manner of memes and other content across the internet. And it’s no wonder Chika is popular. She’s energetic, funny, and imaginative. Uninhibited and free to be silly, she brings life and energy wherever she goes.
Eru Chitanda (Hyouka)

The premise of Hyouka is that the main character’s life dramatically changes with the intervention of a wild ENFP. Eru is a perfect example of the excitability and passion so common to this type. It’s hard not to fall in love with her eagerness for new knowledge, adventures, and friendships.
Euphemia li Britannia (Code Geass)

Euphie is a Britannian Princess who, in contrast to the majority of her family, does not support racist discrimination. She seeks to make Area 11 a better place for the Japanese. Well-suited for public speech as well as being friendly on a person-to-person basis, Euphie is an extrovert. Her values are of great importance, factoring into all her decisions. Eupie responds to situations spontaneously more often than not.
This Princess is excitable, emotional, and extremely compassionate. She can also be a bit of an airhead, taking risks without thinking. The title of “Inspirer” works well for a character like Euphie, who is able to rally support to her side and unintentionally charm those she encounters with her optimism and enthusiasm.
Gon Freeccs (Hunter x Hunter)

Gon is a great example of an ENFP boy in anime. He’s endlessly optimistic and energetic. While this boy is not too bright on a piece of paper, he has the survival instincts, social charm, and determination to succeed wherever he goes. Courageous and adventurous, Gon is governed by his personal values. One of the most important of those values is friendship.
Kamina (Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann)

Although he’s no personal favorite of mine, Kamina is an iconic character for the anime community. He’s a great example of a charismatic ENFP who inspires others to do great things. It’s common for ENFP characters to have silly, over-the-top mannerisms, but Kamina is so entrancing to others that even his dramatic absurdity becomes “cool.”
Kaori Miyazono (Your Lie In April)

Kaori is a delightful and complex character, such that I can’t do justice to all her good points here. She loves music and can mesmerize crowds with her skillful and stylish way of playing violin. Without ever seeking power, Kaori just naturally exudes charisma and the ability to draw people to her. Adventurous, caring, and sometimes quite stubborn, this girl is a good fit for the ENFP type.
Kyouko Toshino (Yuru Yuri)

Kyouko is the leader as well as the clown of the main girls in Yuru Yuri. She seems directionless, yet pulls everyone together. She’s hilarious and mischievous, always full of zany energy. In addition, Kyouko is quite creative. Despite her reputation for being a dummy, she usually performs well academically, showing that ENFPs can do whatever they put their minds to.
Mako Mankanshouku (Kill la Kill)

Mako is the best friend of main character Ryuko – and by the end of the show, something more than a friend. (She’s either lesbian or bisexual). Like most ENFPs, Mako shows high energy, openness to new ideas, strong personal values, and a tendency for silliness. ENFPs make excellent – if hyperactive – companions, and Mako is no exception. She shines in her great loyalty and love toward family and friends.
Momiji Sohma (Fruits Basket)

Despite being cursed by a Zodiac spirit and going through a lot of emotional trauma, Momiji is an incredibly positive person. He’s bubbly, friendly, and always has energy. More mature than he seems at first, Momiji shows good intuition and a forgiving nature. One of his strongest values is acceptance of others even when they are not normal.
Misato Katsuragi (Neon Genesis Evangelion)

Misato is a Major and an important member of the team who supervises Eva pilots. Though she has a good sense of duty and cares about her work missions, she lets loose in her free time. Carefree, loud, and liberal with the bottle, this party girl can be a lot of fun. She is also flirtatious and confident.
Despite always acting upbeat, Misato is a turbulent ENFP with significant emotional and psychological issues. She’s a good example of a very imperfect, very human ENFP.
Naruto Uzumaki (Naruto)

As I have only seen a few episodes of Naruto and didn’t enjoy them, I can’t say much about this character. But I wanted to include a few very popular characters. The consensus from Personality Database is that Naruto is an ENFP.
Riko (Made in Abyss)

I have a lot of issues with Made in Abyss and no longer watch it. However, back when I enjoyed the series, Riko was my favorite character. I still think she’s a great protagonist – and also a great example of an ENFP. Riko is full of life, joy, hope, and longing for adventure. She’s impulsive, and sometimes a bit dense. But when it comes to what she loves, she is an amazing learner. Importantly, Riko is also mentally very tough, always bouncing back from trauma.
Sayaka Miki (Madoka Magica)

Sayaka is one of my top favorite anime characters. She has the normal ENFP traits of extraversion, imagination, powerful personal values, and an emotional nature. Unfortunately, Sayaka is a tragic character whose flaws and negative emotions are made far worse by sudden, traumatic experiences. She is a good example of an ENFP who goes out of control with her stubbornness, powerful feelings, and impulses.
Touta Matsuda (Death Note)

Matsuda is on the police task force trying to catch Kira the mass-murderer. He doesn’t quite fit in with the others on the team because of his excitable, cheerful, and goofy personality. Matsuda can also be impulsive and lacks the measured reactions and self-control of the rest of the task force.
Twelve (Terror in Resonance)

Twelve is a young terrorist who is sometimes interpreted to be autistic. He is also incredibly intelligent and versatile in his skills. Alongside his brother, he plans and enacts terrorist attacks that contribute to a larger goal. Even when it endangers his brother and their mission, Twelve can’t help but fall in love with a normal civilian girl. He’s not quite like the others on this list, but Twelve is an ENFP, using mostly of Ne (extraverted intuition) and Fi (introverted feeling).
Yui Hirasawa (K-On!)

Compared to Kyouko or Riko, Yui is more gentle and laidback, but she is still a good example of an ENFP. She loves hanging out and doing nothing with her friends after school. Creative and confident, Yui plays the guitar and formed a band with her companions in the Light Music Club. Though her spirit holds everyone together, she isn’t the best at actually getting things done.
Yuuko Aioi (Nichijou: My Ordinary Life)

Yuuko is a hilarious character who shows the traits of high energy, eagerness, expressiveness, and being a complete airhead. Most informed fans see her as an example of an anime character with severe undiagnosed ADHD. Whether or not you want to give the character a semi-serious spin, it’s just so much fun to watch her comical misadventures.

Good to see you see the Ne in Gon. Gon is ENFP for sure and uses Ne and Si more and just has strong senses as a ENFP. Gon’s senses are basically a skill and not a personality trait, he uses his intuition more and is very future oriented and thinks about possibilities all the time, especially with him thinking about the future still in the quiz scene in episode two with his Ne. Gon is definitely ENFP and people are starting to realize it slowly which is good. Gon is ENFP and Knuckle Bine is ESFP as I’ll continue to say to people to better compare the difference. Gon is basically Son Goku without a tail like Ohara said online which makes sense since Goku is ENFP too. I type Gon, Goku, Luffy, Naruto, Kamina, Ochaco, Usagi, Misa Amane, Misato, Yui ENFPs. And I type Kuwabara, Knuckle Bine, Ryuji from Persona 5, Brook from One Piece, Ino from Naruto, Ty Lee from Avatar, Natsu Dragoneel from Fairy Tail, Asta from Black Clover, and Mina Ashido from My Hero Academia ESFPs in comparison for them.
Here’s my ENFP and ESFP Anime Characters post down below, if you want to see my opinions in depth for popular anime characters. Tell me what you think as well, great post:
I also agree with this video for ENFP characters, except I’ll say again like everywhere else, Natsu Dragoneel is ESFP and the first guy in the video too. But the other characters here are ENFPs for sure:
Also if your curious why Misa Amane is ENFP, check out this video here from IrrationalSkeptic explaining it in depth. He also did great ENFP videos for Naruto and Goku too. I just disagree with his Vegeta typing and type Vegeta ISTJ instead since Vegeta is a introvert, Si user and Si dominant and Te aux user. Vegeta is definitely ISTJ in my opinion and I made a post for him too as well if you ever take interest in reading it online. Sorry for the long post, thanks for reading everything and share with me your thoughts and keep up the great work:
