Greetings, readers. This is 7Mononoke (Mono for short) and I have an important announcement. Long story short, I will be moving my main blog back here to WordPress.
What Is Happening and Why?
You might remember that a few months ago, I had some issues with WordPress mostly related to finances and some big misunderstandings. Unable to pay for any more media space on animerants.net, I started “Mono’s Anime Rants,” a smaller blog through Wix.com. Now that it’s been a few months, I am no longer pissed at WordPress, since it was all a misunderstanding anyway. I also have just enough funds to pay monthly for the Premium plan, meaning I will have enough space to last for a while. That’s why I’m bringing back Anime Rants at WordPress!
There are other reasons, too. Wix is nice and easy to use, but I miss the way this site works and I like it slightly better for formatting. More importantly than that, I miss being on a platform where 1) I know I have an audience and regular views, and 2) I have easy access to many other anime blogs. It’s going to be a little messy to move back here, and I created the mess myself, so I’m a little embarrassed. Nevertheless, I hope you all continue to enjoy Anime Rants!
When Is It Happening?
The move back to Anime Rants won’t be immediate. I already have several posts scheduled through the end of January at the Wix site. I won’t release new posts on WordPress until February. Until then, you can read my content at Mono’s Anime Rants. There will be weekly episode reviews for Winter 2023 anime, along with lots of other anime rants and analyses! Thanks for waiting.
In the meantime, I’ll work on cleaning up animerants.net so it looks better and is easier to navigate.
What Will Happen To The Wix Blog?
My blog over at Wix.com (Mono’s Anime Rants) will stay there for now, but all new posts after January 2023 will be posted here, on WordPress. Eventually, I’ll transfer some of the Wix posts to this blog (probably). That concludes my announcement.

Anime Rants 
I have WP two blogs, one is the business plan, one is the cheapie plan. I honestly don’t see much difference between the two in terms of readability. I don’t even remember why I got the business plan. Since I’m not going for monetization I should probably go back to one cheapie plan but I’d have to go thru the hassle of redesigning the site.
Truth is, I’m down to posting every couple of months, so business makes even less sense.

For me the biggest difference was the storage space. I use a lot of images and gifs in my blog, and over time, it fills up a lot of MB/GB. I need the business or premium just to have enough space for media.

I know what you mean about space limitations… I made a new blog, and was shocked to see there’s only 1GB of free space, given it used to be more. I’m already close to 1% usage, so I’m gonna have to try my best to save it all as jpgs and resize…
