Welcome to Anime Rants! Today we continue with the episode reviews.
Bungou Stray Dogs 4th Season: Episode 6
Wow… this was quite an episode. It started out normally enough, with the Detective Agency taking on a case of four murders of government officials. But by the end of the episode, it was pure chaos. Why? Because the Angels Decay, the enemy organization behind the murders, have acquired one page out of the legendary book that can rewrite reality. The enemy used it and wrote that the Armed Detective Agency killed over a dozen government officials.
It became true. Even though Nikolai, one of the five “Angels” was the one who set things up to kill the officials, reality was overwritten. The Armed Detective Agency were under the hoods of the perpetrators. Nikolai is also killed to make it look like his side wasn’t to blame. Wow. Now the entire country is enemies with the Armed Detective Agency. I’m thrilled by this turn of events and can hardly wait until next week!

Koori Zokusei Danshi to Cool na Douryou Joshi
(Ice Guy and His Cool Female Colleague): Episode 6
This episode was cute and fun. Most of the time was spent showing Himuro, Fuyutsuki, Komori, and Saejima at Nekomi Land, which is sort of like Disney Land. (Even the mascots are named Nickey and Ninnie, like Mickey and Minnie Mouse.) Everyone had a good time. Although I’m still enjoying this anime, I don’t know if it will continue to be interesting for 6 more episodes. There hasn’t been any progress in the main relationship, and the events and character reactions are formulaic and repetitive. I hope something changes. Still, this show is very cute.

Mononogatari: Malevolent Spirits: Episode 5
Since there was very little of Botan in this episode, and nothing more about Yuu liking her, I was pretty bored with this episode. However, there were some developments clearly important to the plot. First of all, Haori, Kushige, and Zohei went to see a powerful Tsukumogami named Kai. He is currently keeping them basically as hostages until he’s satisfied with the information they give him about recent events. Also, it seems that Botan has a hidden power of some sort, which makes her desirable to both humans and Tsukumogami. So, Botan must stay neutral; it’s an unwritten law. That’s about it for the important stuff.

Nokemono-tachi no Yoru (Tale of Outcasts): Episode 5
Although Diana met with the Cross Order to try negotiating, the only options were to give up the pact with Naberius or be wiped out. Diana chose battle. Marbas and Naberius helped her fight the armored and immortal commander, but it was a losing battle. A sniper killed Diana. Instead of backing down, Naberius took off his collar, unleashing his full power as a gigantic demon and one of the Thirteen Calamities. Now, he’s out to kill the armored commander and avenge Diana. I feel bad for Wisteria, because she must feel rather useless being unable to do much for Diana. I hope she stays strong and positive.

TenTen Kakumei (Magical Revolution): Episode 6
In the first half of the episode, we met Tilty, a “cursed” girl who can’t use magic properly and is considered weird and unstable. However, she’s great at figuring out and undoing curses. She helps Anis with taking the dragon’s magicite into her body. The magicite is melted down into an ink and applied as a tattoo of a dragon on Anis’ back.
The second half of the episode focused on Anis and her royal parents meeting with Lainie Cyan. Lainie is the one who the prince likes and the supposed reason he broke things off with Euphie. Anis is able to discover that Lainie is unconsciously using magic power that stems from magicite ingrained in her body. The magic makes everyone like and sympathize with Lainie. The Queen says this is a dangerous power, so Anis proposes to take Lainie to her villa to supervise her and keep her out of trouble. But is that going to work with Euphie already living there? We’ll see.

Vinland Saga Season 2: Episode 5
Finally, we have an episode about my favorite character, Canute! Don’t get me wrong – I also enjoy the episodes about Einar and Thorfinn so far. But I do like Canute better as a character, personally. Anyway, this episode showed Canute’s bloody path to becoming King of England. He eliminated the other kings who were in the way by making the lord of Mercia assassinate them with poison. Officially, the other king died of an illness, but it’s obvious there was foul play (at least in the anime version). Finally, Canute /Cnut is king!
It’s hard to tell how much this character has changed. He seems a lot tougher and more willing to do terrible things than before. However, I think he’s still on the path he chose a few years before, which is ultimately to create a better world. I look forward to more about Canute, even if it means watching his moral decline. Also, on a side note– now that he’s 20 or so, I guess it’s alright to “simp” for this character. He’s hot!

Thank you for reading~
I’m not seeing anything on Crunchyroll about season 4. The last thing I have is the Dead Apple movie. Is this like a regional availability thing?

Oh I’m not watching it on Crunchyroll. I just looked on my old Crunchyroll account though and you’re right, there’s no season 4 for me either.
Maybe it’s not yet licensed…
