Thoughts on Re: Zero Episode 28 (season 2)

Welcome, dear readers! I felt like this episode covered a lot of ground. Here are my thoughts.

The scene with Subaru and Echidna was great. Their interactions were amusing. We also learned a lot about the Witches. As brief as it was, I loved hearing about the 7 witches, and finally learning why the Witch of Envy is regarded as that world’s devil. After all, each Witch seemed to have godlike power, so imagine the power of the one that killed and consumed all the others.

Each Witch has an interesting fact about them, like the one who gave feeling/thinking abilities to nonhuman creatures. Of all the Witches, I think I’d like Echidna best since she is greedy for knowledge. I also love knowledge. I find it strange and irritating that Subaru did not ask anything about the Witch of Envy’s control over him. And I have a bad feeling about Betelguese’s Witch Factor now being in Subaru.

Moving on, it’s interesting that The Sanctuary is actually the Witch’s graveyard. Garfiel was extremely annoying. It was good to see Roswaal again, since I’ve always appreciated that character. Same with Ram. Emilia did a great job speaking to the Alma villagers and winning them over. Subaru is slightly less annoying the last few episodes than he has been in a while, so that’s good. Other than that, I don’t have much to say. I’m excited to see this trial thing, and it looks like it involves seeing Subaru’s past in our world. I’m looking forward to it.

That’s all I have in me for today. Hope it was at least slightly enjoyable. Thank you for reading my work and please have a great rest of the weekend.
