Warning: Spoilers for Dr. Stone anime (2019-2025)
Thanks for stopping by Anime Rants. Today I’m taking a look at the MBTI personality types of the characters from Dr. Stone. Some of them I’m sure of or very opinionated about, while others I’m not sure and just put my guess. Feel free to discuss in the comments, but please be polite. Also, for all you MBTI elites out there, I’m typing based on the letters and how they interact in addition to the cognitive functions approach. Characters are listed in alphabetical order, and some of them contain my notes.
Amaryllis: ENFJ

Amaryllis first appears in Dr. Stone: New World (AKa season 3). She is a beautiful young woman of the island people, who are descended from the astronauts. In terms of personality, Amaryllis is warm-hearted and sensitive with a strong sense of morals and a desire for social harmony. Some may consider her manipulative, as she sometimes uses her beauty to get what she wants from doting men. In the misogynistic culture ruled by Ibara, I think it’s fair for Amaryllis to use the system and her natural tools to her advantage.
ENFJ sounds like the perfect fit for Amaryllis, as this type is kind, thoughtful, and socially adept. Her dominant function would be extraverted feeling (Fe), which causes her to do what’s right to help those around her. ENFJs may not be as practical or physically in tune compared to ESFJs, but both are caregivers who make excellent teammates. The ENFJ’s secondary function would be introverted intuition, which helps them be insightful and process the information needed to be socially successful. An ENFJ is sometimes called “The Protagonist” as they often have hero energy.
Brody Dudley: ESFJ

Brody is one of the Americans revived by Xeno and Stanley. He first appears in Dr. Stone: Science Future (AKA season 4). An excellent leader, Brody prioritizes people and their wellbeing over power and personal gain. ESFJ is a good fit for Brody. He’s practical, kind-hearted, and protective.
Byakuya Ishigami: ENFJ

Byakuya is Senku’s adoptive father and an astronaut for NASA. ENFJs like Byakuya are known as givers or protagonists. They are usually humble yet make good leaders. They are kind, forgiving, and loving to a fault. It’s pretty clear to me that Byakuya is an extravert and intuitive, as well as a feeling type who wants the best for everyone. Since he seems more organized in his efforts and works with a sense of direction to all his actions, I believe he is a J type rather than P. Putting it altogether, that Byakuya ENFJ.
A number of voters on Personality Database believe that Byakuya would be best described as an ENTP, but I currently don’t see that at all. Byakuya’s ability to create and maintain emotional connections suggests that he defaults to feeling over thinking. ENFJs can be surprisingly intelligent and creative, using introverted intuition (Ni) to its fullest capacity. So, don’t go thinking that a character must be thinking type to be smart.
Carlos Barrios: ISFJ

Carlos is one of the Americans that first appears in Dr. Stone: Science Future. He serves as a bodyguard for Luna as well as a pilot of military vehicles. Though his reactions are often comedically over-the-top, Carlos is probably introverted, using introverted sensing (Si) as his main function. He’s thorough, skilled, and patient. In addition, Carlos is a highly emotional man who doesn’t hide his love and dedication to others. His secondary function is extraverted feeling (Fe), which drives him toward social harmony. In other words, Carlos is probably an ISFJ.
Charlotte Bony: Unknown

Charlotte is a minor character who appears in Dr. Stone: Science Future. She is a body double for Stanley and can operate guns, planes, and communication technology like a pro. Personally, I don’t think there’s enough information yet to be sure of Charlotte’s type. (Currently, Dr. Stone: Science Future Part 2 is still airing, so there may be more content with Charlotte later.)
Chelsea Childe: ENFP

Chelsea is a genius geologist already respected in the field despite being a teenager. She woke up on her own in the same area as Xeno, but due to her poor eyesight, she couldn’t detect any indication of the others who had woken up earlier and left signs for her. As a result, she wasn’t recruited until part 2 of Dr. Stone: Science Future. Chelsea is extraverted, curious, imaginative, and hyperactive. She probably has ADHD. She’s a lot of fun to be around.
Some characters just scream their MBTI type and do not require in-depth studying. Chelsea is one such character. She is the epitome of an ENFP. This type is known for its enthusiasm and energy. Sometimes called “Champions” or “Campaigners,” ENFPs uplift others and charge headfirst into anything new and different with excitement. Many ENFPs, like Chelsea, are well-suited to science because of their undying curiosity.
Chrome: ENFP

Chrome is one of the descendants of the astronauts who lives in Ishigami Village. He becomes Senku’s apprentice and loves science with all his heart. He’s especially knowledgeable about rocks and minerals, but enjoys all sorts of learning.
Probably another example of an ENFP, Chrome is lively, cheerful, emotional, caring, and a bit impulsive. Though sometimes they seem directionless, ENFPs are always driven by their values, feelings, and dreams. Chrome is capable of great things with his ambitions and strong feelings.
Connie Lee: INFP

Connie is one of the astronauts who helped found Ishigami Village. There isn’t much information or character development for Connie, so figuring out her type is really just a guess. I would go with INFP personally. That’s because she’s introverted and expressive.
Darya Nikitina: Unknown
Darya was another one of the astronauts who returned to Earth from the space station. I don’t even have a solid guess about what type Darya would be. It’s obvious that she’s frank, warm, practical, and gets things done. So, she’s probably an ESJ or ISFJ. Those are just guesses.
Francois: INTJ

Francois is the butler of Ryusui, an excellent chef, and a creative thinker with a huge wealth of practical knowledge at their disposal. This individual is immaculate at problem-solving and always gets the job done. Since Ryusui cares more about efficiency and skill than anything, he never cared to ask Francois’ gender. Francois never mentioned it. They continued to not clarify, leading many to the conclusion that the butler is agender or somewhere under the nonbinary umbrella. Francois is a truly memorable and special character – one of the best in Dr. Stone.
So, why do I think Francois is an INTJ? Their manners and courtesy are perfect, but Francois is probably an introvert based on the way they prefer to be in the background. In addition, this butler is so thorough that they must be a judging type. Cool-headed and logical, Francois is most likely a thinking type. So far we know Francois is IXTJ. Many fans consider them ISTJ, which is usually the correct choice for a service-oriented individual. However, I think Francois uses introverted intuition rather (Ni) than introverted sensing (Si). That would make them INTJ.
“Francois is an INTJ” isn’t a popular take, and it’s fine if you don’t agree. Assigning MBTI types is always subjective and arbitrary on some level. Still, I believe Francois’ creative mind and unique insight suggests intuition slightly more than sensing.
Gen Asagiri: ENTP

Gen is one of my top five favorite characters in Dr. Stone. He is a young mentalist and magician who was petrified by the green light. Tsukasa revived Gen to use him for his army, but Gen ended up switching to Senku’s side. I do love characters who change loyalties. Anyway, Gen is highly intelligent, a bit goofy and over-the-top with his reactions, and driven to understand how things and people work. As a talented mentalist, he knows how to mess with people.
Gen is probably an ENTP, the type known as debaters, trolls, and highly creative thinkers. The dominant function for ENTP is extraverted intuition (Ne), which is an active information-gathering, pattern-seeking process. The secondary function is introverted thinking (Ti), which means the ENTP is analytical and follows an internal logic in all their decisions. It’s also possible that Gen is an INTP, but the main consensus online is that he’s an ENTP.
Ginro: ESFP

Ginro is a member of Ishigami Village and the childhood friend and companion of Kinro. He is loud, shallow, and sometimes cowardly. At the end of the day, his heart is in the right place, and he usually pulls through to help others. Still, his behavior is often annoying.
Original opinion from 2020: Like Chrome, Ginro is also an ENFP. That’s what I think, anyway, but it’s open for debate. Even within the same type, there are huge differences between people (or characters in this case). Whereas Chrome is more motivated and clever by comparison, Ginro is a bit of a slacker, and often hesitant to make decisions or commit to things. He still shares most of the ENFP traits, though, including being energetic, cheerful, caring, and fun-loving.
New Opinion from 2025: I now think ESFP is a better fit for Ginro than ENFP. These two types have a lot in common, but the ESFP is known as more of an entertainer. They also use extraverted sensing (Se) instead of extraverted intuition (Ne). For Ginro, this means he is more interested in physical reality and experiences than knowledge and abstraction. He isn’t very scientifically minded compared to the ENFP characters in the cast.
Homura Momiji: ISFP

Nicknamed Momo, this young lady is an acrobat with amazing physical skills. She was a modern human who got petrified and was revived by Tsukasa. There is not a lot of character development for Momo compared to most of the cast. As such, it’s hard to determine her type. However, my best guess would be ISFP, the type known as quiet, sensitive artists and adventurers. They are usually extremely skilled in something physical or sensory. ISFPs are often very quiet and private until they are comfortable, which definitely sounds like Momo.
Hyouga: INTJ

Hyoga is a stunningly talented spear-wielder from the modern world. He was revived by Tsukasa and shared much of his idealogy. For a while, Hyoga was Tsukasa’s second in command as well as one of his deadliest warriors. When Tsukasa admitted that Senku’s side was right, Hyoga betrayed and stabbed him. As a result, he was treated like a prisoner for a while by Senku’s group. Eventually, Hyoga started helping the team, but he never gave up his own worldview. He still wanted the world to be “survival of the fittest,” and he rejected Senku’s egalitarianism.
In terms of the MBTI, I used to think Hyoga was an ISTP. That’s mostly because he’s quiet, calm, and physically talented. However, given his strategic thinking and strong determination, INTJ seems like a better fit. This type is known as the architect or the mastermind because they always have some plan or scheme going on. INTJs are quiet but often ambitious. They are also fiercely independent, clever, and analytical. This sounds like Hyoga to me.
Ibara: ESTJ

Ibara is the main villain in Dr. Stone: New World. He is essentially a dictator who rules over the tribe on “Treasure Island.” No matter how you look at it, Ibara is a horrible person who preys on women and feeds off fascist power trips. It should be noted that any type can make for an evil character, so it’s not like all ESTJs are villains. But in this case, ESTJ seems to be the best choice.
ESTJs are sometimes called “The Executive” because they excel when in charge. The ESTJ is people-oriented, practical, logical, and meticulous. At best, ESTJs are excellent leaders and public speakers who genuinely want to improve the world. They will take charge, deal with the toughest problems and take on the most unpleasant topics that nobody else wants to address. In Ibara’s case, he was probably corrupted by power and now does whatever he wants unchecked.
Kaseki: ISTP

Kaseki is an artisan and crafter from Ishigami Village. He was one of the first of the villagers, after Chrome and Kohaku, to start helping Senku. Kaseki is an extremely lovable character, since he’s funny, bad-ass, and talented as fuck. Most likely, his type would be ISTP.
ISTPs are called virtuoso or mechanics. They are usually gifted with hands-on work and activities, making excellent craftsmen just like Kaseki. Though they can be unpredictable and spontaneous, they are generally quiet, practical, logical, and brave. Kaseki and most SPs want to have a unique and exciting life, and are risk-takers despite their natural good sense and practicality.
Kinro: ISTJ

“Rules are rules,” is the motto of Kinro, the warrior and guard for Ishigami Village. This just screams ISTJ. Known as logisticians and duty-fulfillers, this type is quiet, serious, practical, orderly, and sometimes perfectionist. It should be pretty obvious why ISTJ is fitting for Kinro.
Kirisame: ISTJ

Kirisame is a high-ranking female warrior who serves Ibara in Dr. Stone: New World. She is stoic and an excellent fighter. Kirisame eventually joins Senku’s group after learning firsthand that Ibara could not be trusted to care about any of his people. My best guess for Kirisame’s type would be ISTJ due to her strong sense of duty, but ISTP is another possibility. Personally, I wish there had been more character development for Kirisame.
Kohaku: ESTJ or ISTP

Kohaku is a female warrior from Ishigami Village and the sister of the Priestess. She’s essentially one of the two princesses of the tribe. To help her chronically ill sister, Kohaku worked hard to bring water from the hot springs every single morning for many years. She built up a tough body from trekking and climbing in the wooded mountains while carrying heavy jars. Kohaku immediately judged that Senku was a good person and Tsukasa was dishonorable. Her judgements are usually spot-on. In addition, she’s a fierce fighter, amazing acrobat, and someone who loves her family and friends more than anything else.
Opinion from 2020: Kohaku is ESTJ. These are known as Executives or Guardians because they are sensible, strong, dedicated, and like to be in charge. They are helpful, practical, and hard-working. It can be argued that Kohaku is an ESFJ and I’m willing to listen if anyone wants to try convincing me. Kohaku is mildly extroverted and I believe her behaviors, skills, and reactions showing that she’s a Sensing type. Her general driven, dutiful, and prudent behaviors suggest she is a Judger. So the real debate would be whether she is F or T. I can see arguments for both sides.
Opinion from 2025: Kohaku might be ISTP. I still think ESTJ is a good fit in most ways, but since Kohaku is not particularly extraverted, we have a problem. That’s why the voters on Personality Database usually default to ISTP for Kohaku’s type. This definitely makes sense now that I think about it. Kohaku is quiet and humble like an ISTP, and she has the physical and practical skills widely present within that type. Kohaku as an ISTP also has a potential problem, however. She doesn’t seem like a P type to me since she can think ahead and is such a dedicated, thorough worker. Both ideas have strengths and weaknesses.
Lillian Weinberg: ENFJ

Lilian is a celebrity who went to the International Space Station with Byakuya and the others. An inspiring singer and outspoken, optimistic humanist, Lilian won the hearts of millions. If I had to guess her type, I’d say ENFJ because she is people-oriented, insightful, determined, and emotionally motivated. With how optimistic and hyper she can be, Lilian could also be an ENFP, but I think she is a long-term planner, which is more of an ENFJ thing.
Luna Wright: INFP

First appearing in Dr. Stone: Science Future, Luna is a female medical student from a rich American family. Despite having more privilege and money than she could ever need, Luna wanted to become a capable and responsible person, so she started medical school. She wasn’t particularly genius, but she was determined. After the petrification, she was woken by Xeno and sent to be a spy who would help kill Senku. Instead, Luna fell in love with Senku and switched over to his side.
Socially awkward and sensitive, Luna is probably also an introvert and a feeling type. She uses introverted feeling (Fi) as her dominant function. Users of Fi are determined to be true to themselves against all odds. They are expressive, caring, and deeply emotional. I believe Luna is more intuitive than sensing due to her insight and also her lack of practicality. Her second function would probably be extraverted intuition (Ne), making her an INFP.
Magma: ESTP

Magma is a resident of Ishigami Village. Regarded as one of the strongest men in the tribe, he likes to be in charge and boss others around. Though Magma is an antagonist early on, he later becomes a helpful member of Senku’s “Power Team.” ESTP is the most likely choice for Magma. He lacks the emotional expression of an ESFP and seems more bold and outgoing than the typical ISTP.
ESTPs are readily interactive with others, more focused on physical reality than abstract ideas, think using a system of internal logic, and prefer a flexible lifestyle. The ESTP has been described as The Doer or The Entrepreneur. They really like to get things done, but in their own way. ESTPs are defiant if someone tries to box them in. Despite having a logical mind most of the time, this type lives for thrills and can be very impulsive. That’s why they seem like completely reckless idiots. Despite this, many ESTPs are sensible and practical. Probably not Magma though.
Mantle: Unknown
Mantle is a man from Ishigami Village who always hangs out with Magma. He’s generally known as Magma’s henchman, always sucking up to the big bully. Judging his personality type isn’t possible when he’s more of a joke character who just makes silly suggestions and runs errands for Magma.
Matsukaze: ISFJ

Matsukaze first appears in Dr. Stone: New World (Part 2). He is an islander who was petrified by a Medusa several hundred years ago. Back in his day, Matsukaze was a servant and protector for a high-ranking boy he called “Young Master.” Ginro bears a striking resemblence to the Young Master, so Matsukaze decided to serve him in this new life. It was easier for him to stick to the kind of life he knew and remain a servant, even though nobody was asking it of him. Once he started serving Ginro, Matsukaze became intensely loyal to the young man.
Matsukaze is a humble, soft-spoken person with good common sense. His focus on reality over abstract thought is clear. Therefore, it’s likely that Matsukaze’s dominant function is introverted sensing (Si). In addition, someone as altruistic and helpful to others as Matsukaze probably uses extraverted feeling (Fe) as their secondary function. That would make Matsukaze an ISFJ, a type known for its strong loyalty and loving care for others.
Max Adams: ESFP
Max is one of the bodyguards for Luna Wright. His reactions are loud and over the top, and he cares deeply about Luna. My current guess for Max’s type is ESFP because he seems socially oriented, practical, emotional, and flexible.
Maya Biggs: ESFP

Maya first appears in Dr. Stone: Science Future. She is a strong American soldier with a huge build and exuberant energy to match. She loves singing and has a booming, deep voice almost more typical of a man. In other words, she’s butch as hell.
At the current time, Dr. Stone: Science Future Part 2 is still airing, so I might update my opinion if there are more scenes with Maya. But for now, I would consider her to be an ESFP. This type is known as “The Entertainer” and loves to be the center of attention.
Minami Hokutozai: ESFJ

Minami is a young journalist from the modern world who was revived by Tsukasa. Her skills include photography, reporting, and speaking excellent English in addition to her native Japanese. She’s helpful to have around and is expressive, opinionated, and bold. Minami is also warm, practical, and socially gracious. I would guess ESFJ for her type.
ESFJs are caring communicators and leaders who love others almost to a fault. They also have a reputation for being stubborn and overbearing in their efforts to protect others. With the natural desire to nurture others and an innate love of luxury, an ESFJ is able to steel themselves to fight for a more peaceful world in whatever way they can. In Minami’s case, she becomes passionate about recording information and keeping open communication for the Kingdom of Science.
Mirai Shishio: INFP
Mirai is the younger sister of Tsukasa. She’s very sensitive, sweet, and emotional. Going by stereotypes, the sweet and quiet little sister is usually INFP.
Moz: ESTP

Moz is a frighteningly strong spear-wielding warrior who first appears in Dr. Stone: New World. Though he used to work for Ibara, and still seems to be misogynistic, he did eventually join the Kingdom of Science. Moz is outspoken, charismatic, and bold. He doesn’t hide the fact that he’s a bit of a hedonist, enjoying thrills and sensory experiences. That’s why he loves fighting and trying to “win” women. This all pretty much screams ESTP.
The ESTP is people-oriented, driven by sensory experiences, indifferent to most emotional arguments, and laidback. No other type is quite as intense as the ESTP in terms of craving thrills and throwing away good logic on wild gambles. Though Magma is also an ESTP, he has less social grace than Moz, who probably puts effort into being charming and patient. In addition, Moz is spoiled by power and respect, while Magma constantly feels inferior and unappreciated (at least early on). There’s a lot of variety in presentation of each type.
Nikki Hanada: ISTP

Nikki is a modern human who started off on Tsukasa’s side in the Kingdom of Might before eventually joining Senku’s Kingdom of Science. After Kohaku, Nikki is my second favorite female character in the entire series. She is strong – not just in terms of muscle but also in terms of will. Once she decides on something, there’s no going back. Pragmatic and down-to-earth, Nikki doesn’t tolerate anyone’s bullshit. Though quiet most of the time, she will shut up the troublesome elements when they get in her face.
I think the best fit for Nikki’s type is ISTP. Some think she is a feeling type and it’s true that what won her over to Senku’s side was a purely emotional appeal. However, I think it’s clear from her behavior as a whole that she uses introverted thinking (Ti) more than any kind of feeling. With her headstrong attitude and good attunement to the senses, Nikki must also be a strong user of extraverted sensing (Se). Assuming that’s her secondary function, that makes Nikki an ISTP.
Ruri: ISFJ

Ruri is the Priestess of Ishigami Village and essentially the princess of the tribe. She is probably either ISFJ or INFJ. Either way, Ruri is quiet, dutiful, and loyal. I think she has more of the poise of a sensing type as well as the strong attachment to tradition. ISFJ is likely.
Ryusui Nanami: ESTP

Ryusui is a modern human who was revived after the end of season 2 in the OVA special, Dr. Stone: Ryusui. He is a skilled naval captain and air pilot. Nobody can navigate better than this guy. Personality-wise, Ryusui is outspoken, energetic, fair-minded, and eager for every new experience. It’s definitely safe to say that he uses extraverted sensing (Se) as his dominant function. The secondary function would be introverted thinking (Ti), as evidenced by Ryusui’s sharp, analytical mind and adherence to an internal logic system.
Senku Ishigami: INTP

As the protagonist of Dr. Stone, Senku is a highly popular character. He is extremely intelligent and driven to make scientific progress for the sake of humanity as well as his own satisfaction. There are a lot of disagreements online about Senku’s MBTI type. Initially, a lot of people online said he was an INTJ, which made no sense to me. My notes are below.
Opinion from 2020: There are many ways to view and interpret a main character’s personality. It wouldn’t surprise me if there were a lot of disagreement about Senku’s type. I argue that he is ENTP, known as Debaters and Visionaries. They are among the most mentally quick and adept of the 16 personalities. Senku is most definitely an iNtuitive and a Thinker, and I don’t think you can argue otherwise. Although he’s good at planning ahead, I think Senku’s ability to “wing it” and think on the go suggests he is a P and not a J. This means he is either INTP or ENTP. However, you could also argue that my assumption of him being a P is wrong, and in that case, ENTJ or INTJ would be likely. I’m sticking to my guns here, though.
Opinion from 2025: I think INTP is actually correct since his introverted thinking is slightly stronger than his extraverted intuition.
Shamil Volkov: ISTJ

Shamil was one of the astronauts who founded Ishigami Village. ISTJ is a rough guess based on Shamil’s insistence to comply with and enforce rules, proper behavior, and practicality. He is so extreme in his thinking that for a long time he believed enjoyment and fun is not necessary to human life. All that mattered to him was getting the job done. Thanks to his time with Byakuya and the others, he learned to loosen up a bit.
Soyuz: ISFJ

Soyuz is a man from Ishigami Village who was actually born on the same island as Ibara (we’ll call it the Petrification Kingdom). Once Senku and company defeated Ibara, Soyuz became the new leader of the Petrification Kingdom, revealing that he was the lost son of the island’s previous ruler. Soyuz has an excellent memory, keen senses, and impressive observational skills. He is sweet-natured, down-to-earth, and humble. I suspect Soyuz is an ISFJ because he is pretty clearly introverted, sensing, feeling, and judging.
Stanley Snyder: ISTP

Stanley is a modern American human and one of the main antagonists in Dr. Stone: Science Future. He is a sharpshooter and combat expert as well as the leader of a highly skilled special military unit. Though Stanley seems quiet and doesn’t say more than necessary, he also has an iron will. His stubbornness is next to none. In addition, Stanley is extremely loyal to Xeno, practical and in tune with his senses, and an excellent thinker on the go. Based on all this, it sounds like Stanley is an ISTP.
Suika: INFP

Suika is a young girl from Ishigami Village. Though nimble, fast, and strong for her size, she was near-sighted and socially awkward. Regarded as a weird kid, she always insisted on wearing a helmet made out of a melon shell. Senku and company made glasses for Suika and changed her life. Suika was always loyal after that point, trying to be helpful in any way she could. With her skills as a scout and a spy, Suika ended up very useful indeed.
INFP doesn’t always come to mind when you think of Suika because she can seem fairly extraverted. When she’s happy and comfortable, she’s like a little, bouncy puppy. Nevertheless, I personally see her as an introvert, especially when compared to characters like Chelsea who are true extraverts. Suika is awkward, shy, and seems to be comfortable spending long time periods alone. I do think she uses extraverted intuition (Ne) because she’s a quick learner and creative thinker. But this would be her secondary function, after introverted feeling (Fi).
Characters with dominant Fi are usually emotional and empathetic, holding strong personal values and following their hearts. Fi users are also particular about presenting themselves in a way that makes them feel true to themselves even if it’s weird. Think of how Suika is so attached to her melon helmet. Assuming her two leading functions are Fi and Ne, that makes Suika an INFP. Quiet, sweet, and poetic, an INFP can also be stubbornly optimistic. Suika is likewise wired to be hopeful. I think INFP is a good fit for this brave little girl.
Taiju Oki: ESFP

Taiju is Senku’s best friend since childhood. They worked on science projects together, though Taiju understood far less than Senku. He was always cheering Senku on, admiring his intelligence and innovative thinking. In terms of personality, Taiju is regarded as a lovable oaf. He’s friendly, loud, enthusiastic, and impulsive. He loves shows of physical strength despite not being interested in fighting. Though not the brightest bulb in the closet, Taiju makes up for it with his big heart and undying loyalty.
A himbo like Taiju is probably best described with the ESFP type. This type is people-oriented, focused on the senses, emotionally fueled, and flexible rather than routine. Their dominant function is extraverted sensing (Se), which is easy to see in Taiju. He craves action and will charge into anything he can touch. The secondary function of the ESFP is introverted feeling (Fi), which also fits Taiju very well. His refusal to be violent is one example of living in accordance with his strong values. With his endless energy and emotional resilience, Taiju and other ESFPs can sometimes seem invincible.
Tsukasa Shishio: ENTJ

Tsukasa is the main antagonist for the first two seasons of Dr. Stone. Despite being in highschool, he was already considered one of the most talented professional fighters alive and was known as “The strongest primate.” All of this was to make prize money to keep his little sister alive on life support. After waking up in the stone world, Tsukasa tried to make his own Kingdom of Might, ruled by strong young warriors hand-picked by him. They sought to ensure the corrupt older generations of our world were never revived.
Tsukasa is soft-spoken but driven to lead others. He has an incredible intellect, making him a threat in terms of both brain and brawn. He’s thoughtful, analytical, and thorough. A long-term planner with fierce determination, Tsukasa has effective leadership skills. An antagonistic strategist like Tsukasa is typically assumed to be INTJ. However, I think ENTJ is slightly better for Tsukasa because of his charisma and ability to hijack social situations in his favor. Frankly, who wouldn’t be charmed by Tsukasa and his quiet confidence?
The dominant function of the ENTJ is extraverted thinking (Te), which often seeks to correct what it sees as wrong in the world. Tsukasa also wants to make the world a better place. The secondary function of ENTJ is introverted intuition (Ni), which contributes to a sharp mind that can see patterns and understand systems at play. Tsukasa is definitely intuitive as well, so ENTJ seems to be the perfect fit for him.
Ukyo Saionji: INFJ

Ukyo was a sonar operator on a submarine before the calamity that petrified all of humanity. He is a quiet young man with extremely sharp hearing and great hunting and archery skills. Though he started off on Tsukasa’s side, Ukyo became an ally to Senku during the Stone Wars. Eventually, he was considered one of Senku’s four most skilled generals.
Since Ukyo is rather private and mysterious, it’s hard to pin down his type. My best guess is INFJ because Ukyo is introverted (I), insightful and thoughtful (N), with strong personal values and desire for peace (F). He is also thorough and future-oriented (J). An INFJ’s dominant function is introverted intuition (Ni), which can be seen in Ukyo’s insight and understanding of patterns. The secondary function of an INFJ is extraverted feeling (Fe), which seeks to care for others and ensure social harmony.
Xeno Houston Wingfield: ENTJ

Xeno is the main antagonist in Dr. Stone: Science Future. He is a genius on par with Senku, working as a specialist for NASA before the world got petrified. Unlike Senku, Xeno hungers for power. In pursuit of that power, he is merciless and sociopathic, even joking about wanting to be a dictator. Any personality type could have this character flaw, but it’s most common in the types that naturally excel at leadership and problem-solving: that would be the ESTJs and ENTJs. As for Xeno, he is highly intuitive, so ENTJ makes the most sense.
Yakov Nikitina: Unknown
The husband of Darya was one of the astronauts and founders of Ishigami Village. He gets even fewer lines and screen-time than his wife. It’s impossible to say his type with certainty.
Yo Uei: ESTP

Yo is a simple-minded, impulsive young man who was fired from the police force after shooting a fleeing suspect. He didn’t seem to feel any regret. His behavior as the prison boss in Stone Wars leads many to think Yo is a psychopath. However, he accepted Tsukasa’s loss and ended up helping Senku in Dr. Stone: New World and onward. So, he seems to have some level of self-control and basic sense.
In terms of MBTI, Yo is best understood as ESTP. This type is quite prone to deal with issues like impulsiveness and rage. That doesn’t mean every ESTP is a maniac or anything. Anyway, Yo is definitely people-oriented and extraverted. He’s obviously a sensing type with his focus on physical reality and lack of abstract insight. It’s also clear that he’s a toxic thinking type who doesn’t consider the feelings or humanity of others. Finally, Yo is extremely laidback and wants things to be simple. Putting it altogether, ESTP is the likely conclusion.
Yuzuriha Ogawa: ISFJ

Yuzuriha definitely seems like an Introvert and a Feeler. She is kind, quiet, helpful, and creative. I believe ISFJ would be the contenders for her personality type.

I’m not an expert but your DR. Stone MBTI chart seems really accurate to me! Fictional characters are always tricky to analyse because their personality was ultimately, well, fabricated by a different person, but Dr. Stone characters are very moral-driven, and I think you did a great job!
Senku is indeed a particularly tricky one but I 100% (or rather 10 billion haha) agree with you. NT is pretty obvious, just like you said, but I see many people making him an INTJ or something which I just… Can’t see at all. To me he is definitely a Perceiver and, while whether he is introverted or extroverted is a bit more ambiguous, I will stand by the fact that he is an ENTP. I feel like we’re always too quick to jump to the ‘book smart guy is introverted’ when this is merely a stereotype…
Great post!
