And on other notes, Nakanohito Genome (The Ones Within) suddenly ended. The story will be continued in a second season which as far as I know has no release date yet. I like this show overall and I’m glad I watched it, but the ending sucked. Technically, it wasn’t even needed. It was a filler, which the script-writers apparently preferred to call a “bonus,” even though it’s not a bonus because it’s still part of the series. I’m sorry, but please plan and structure your anime better so you don’t end up with an entire episode of filler at the very end!
On the other hand, The Ones Within Episode 12 still wasn’t nearly as much of a train-wreck as its 8th episode. For one thing, they included some hints and clues to the overall mystery. For another thing, they made the episode moderately entertaining. The kids played games. There were lots of funny moments and everything just seemed fun… (but still slightly forced/contrived). The characters each got a little bit of time to shine, and their interactions are every bit as amusing as usual. To sum it up, this episode is an example of poor series planning, and it can only be called a filler; but it was enjoyable enough.
To be honest, I’m kind of obsessed with my fanfiction right now, and what’s more, I’m not used to this computer. (It’s complicated.) So that’s all the time I’m going to afford to this episode review.
